108th Centurion Task Force

"Nobody is safe, nothing is holy, we will hold the last line of defense!"

After Moon's execution, as well as Vaun, being MIA after the 108th Blackwatch Operatives were stationed in a StratosTech laboratory being ambushed by unknown creatures, as well Drones and Experimental weaponry costing the Burst Link too much to fund for such little use, 108th has been ordered to re-develop itself in a more general function, straying away from the "elite" stigma Vaun and Moon gave it despite how un-elite it was, and is reformed to be a more well rounded and open battalion Considering the current active battalions on the Burst Link Venator, 108th will reform as a Defense oriented battalion As there is no current defense battalion (As of the current date). Alongside this reformation, Resh has asked two former COs to come back and lead this battalion as a CO and XO. Gambit, a CO rescued in one of Officer Killian's missions, Gambit led the 79th Thunderbolt Corps under another Venator, however, that Venator perished and the Burst Link went to investigate the crash site and Gambit was one of the few survivors. Gambit, wanting to rather defend his brothers than avenge his fallen brothers was the lead candidate to revive the new 108th Task Force. Villamor, an exceptional pilot, and leader were asked upon by Resh to be the XO, to which he accepted.

Specialty Descriptions:

Centurion Operative - The main force of the 108th Task Force, with the custom, made StratosTech "DC-16A3" the operatives focus on defending areas in a combat zone and as well as helping out any battalions that need assistance, or any zones with lots of enemies. The rifle and units are advised to only use the guns at close to medium range. If an enemy is too far, call it out and leave it to a battalion that can properly handle enemies.

Centurion Sentinel Unit - The strength of the Centurions, the Sentinel Units carry tech that allows the creation of on the spot Sentry Turrets that are automated. These Sentry Turrets currently consist between a normal LMG and a flamethrower variant. However, during the heat of a mission where Mustang led the Burst Link to rescue an Admiral, Gambit created a deadly combination, swapping the gas tank module for the flamethrower turret with a 10th unit's freezing gun module, and was able to create a make-shift automated ice turret. This is notably a powerful combination with the usage of a flamethrower turret AND the make-shift ice turret. The turrets have a programmed automated function that detects movements to be hostile based on research, history, and patterns. (OOC The turrets only shoots at NPCs)

Centurion Specialist Unit - Using the old Warhammer Minigun, this gun has 6 different modes, all suited for various types of defense, each that strengthen and weaken the gun. For example, Bastion Mode lowers the speed and increases the weight of the minigun drastically, but as a result improves accuracy, aim, and RPM. Other modes such as the CQC mode increases the RPM but in result adding way more kick and less accuracy and range in favor of CQC

IMPORTANT INFO:

  1. Showing disloyalty to the leader will cause in being demoted and kicked out.

  2. We are a family, trust your brothers, and report and conflicts. We can work it out.

  3. Anyone caught disrespecting other battalions will result in a demotion.

  4. LCPL and up may do training to lower 108th

Operatives are expected to show both respect and a professional attitude whilst in-service. Such respect can be shown by following these simple steps:

- Salute an Officer when they approach. When encountering multiple officers at once, salute the highest-ranking officer present, not every individual (Unless in immediate or tentative combat)

- Refer to CO/XOs and above as "sir" when addressing them.

- Put your weapon on safety when a CO/XO or above is speaking to you.

- Give your undivided attention to a Commanding Officer when they are speaking, especially in the case of a briefing.

- Stand at attention unless ordered otherwise when being addressed by an XO or above. If ordered “At ease”, then position yourself into parade rest.

Promotions:

Promotions are based on personal merit and contribution to the 108th. Your time in the battalion will have an effect on your promotion but will not be the deciding factor overall. Your attitude, ability, and teamwork.

There are certain ways to decrease the number of days until promotions by either getting a recommendation from an officer of another battalion, a Jedi knight or above, or a high ranking naval, those both count as one day off a cooldown. You are able to get two days off the cooldown if you receive a recommendation from a naval officer plus or a XO or Commander.

*All of this is subject to change at any moment*
